Do you have to think of the design THEN make it, or do you just work as you think?

With these tribal designs, I usually think of it as I work. The overall pose is what I have to think of beforehand though. So I guess it's a little bit of both

Yes same! If the plan becomes so elaborate, I never end up finishing the darn piece because it takes so long!
